Do you love quietness? Do you love privacy in this highly crowded world? Then the latest Cocoon 1 sphere by Micasa Lab (the same people behind the iRock chair invention) is the right thing you need.
The Cocoon 1 is a modular having a plastic sphere mechanism which comes with 2 Pillow 90 modules and the Foundation 360 on which it is placed to make sure that it doesn’t roll away. Due to multiple added modules, the Cocoon 1 becomes highly customizable with different pillow modules. These pillow modules are available in 45, 90 or 180 selections (space consumption within the sphere). In addition, there are Storage modules available in 90 and 180 selections which can be fixed with a power pack to operate electrical devices.
The Kitchen 90 module puts a stove operated via a power pack that gives around 40 hours of light or 20 hours of light and 30 minutes of cooking. But if you’re cooking, you’d definitely want to wash the dishes and for that you’ll need to fix a Water 90 module. Upon fixing this module, you’ll get a faucet and a sink, which requires to be combined with the Foundation 360 module and that should include a sinking pipe.
Micasa Lab has also invented a Foundation Pb base which puts more lead weight to the base of the Cocoon 1 that gives it the ability to float on water; without sinking.
Micasa Labs is set to release the Cocoon 1 in the Northern Hemisphere during the autumn season of next year. The estimated price is US$2,990. In the meantime, watch the Cocoon 1 in action below.
